Rho Chi Research Symposium

The Rho Chi Research Symposium is held annually to share current research performed by pharmacy students, graduate students, and pharmacy residents.

In 2020, the Research Symposiums on both the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus and the Duluth campus was held on Tuesday, February 25th. The Twin Cities Symposium took place in the Mississippi Room of Coffman Memorial Union in Minneapolis, MN. Click here to view the official website for the Research Symposium on the Twin Cities campus. The Duluth Symposium took place in the Life Sciences Building and Kirby Rafters on the UMN Duluth campus.

For the Research Symposium on the Twin Cities campus, the opening speaker was Dr. Rui Zhang, PhD, MS, and the keynote speaker was Dr. Richard Weinshilboum, MD. For the Research Symposium on the Duluth campus, the keynote speaker was Dr. Elizabeth Hirsch, PharmD, RPh. In addition to the speakers, poster presentations and raffle prizes where held throughout the day for attendees and presenters.

In 2019, the Rho Chi Research Symposium was held on Tuesday, February 12th, in the Great Hall of Coffman Memorial Union in Minneapolis, MN and in the Life Sciences Building and Kirby Rafters on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus.

Dr. Richard Mullvain, PharmD, from Essentia Health in Duluth gave the keynote address in Duluth and Dr. Robert Vince, PhD, the director of the Center for Drug Design at the University of Minnesota, gave the keynote presentation in Minneapolis.

Rho Chi 2019 Initiation Ceremony

On March 30th, the Rho Chi Initiation Ceremony was held in Minneapolis, MN at the McNamara Alumni Center where initiates were recognized for their academic success and dedication to their learning.

Entertainment for the evening was provided by Daniel Switch, a local musician. Dean Lynda Welage, PharmD, FCCP offered her congratulations to the new initiates and Ann Schwemm, PharmD, MPH, BCOP gave the keynote address.
